Introduction
Technology is thriving rapidly in many industries. When it comes to education there is no exception. A small Canadian institute wanted to develop a learning management system. Even though the system made life easier for both lecturers and students the management noticed a problem. Since the institute employed part-time lecturers who are having hectic schedules, they change the class times frequently. The management decided to introduce a mobile solution for students and they get notified whenever the lecturer re-schedules the classes. Many students have voted that the mobile solution will be more convenient than the website.
Context
We suggested that the students can subscribe to the classes and get notified before the class gets started. Also, they get another notification whenever the lecturer decides to reschedule the classes. The lecturer can send a ‘reschedule request’ to the students and if the majority of them confirm, the class gets rescheduled. The lecturer can view all the votes from students and make the decision. We used the existing backend to build the mobile solution.
